Ignacio Torres uses his work to explore the glorification of the mundane and objectification of the human body. Ignacio’s work has been exhibited in New York, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Mexico, Rome and London. His images have been included in publications such as the British Journal of Photography, Scientific American, and Zeit Campus Magazine. Torres was awarded silver by the Art Directors Club in Switzerland for his photography work with KOMET and the Festi’Neuch music festival.
Ignacio was born in 1988 on the U.S and Mexico border town of El Paso, Texas. In 2008 he moved to Denton, Texas where in 2010 he received a BFA from the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas.
His recent clients include: Diesel, Opening Ceremony, NEON, EMI, Dazed and Confused, Nicola Formichetti, Nine West, Sarah Jaffe, KOMET, Festi'neuch and The Jones Group Inc.
Currently, Torres lives and works in New York City.
